Significance of the Hicks Block

The Hicks Block was built in 1889 and was listed on the National Historic Register of Historic Place in 1976. “Remembrances in Wood, Brick and Stone” a book on Shawnee County’s historical buildings had some very nice things to say about it’s historic character.
